Do you like Theodore? Personally I like Theo, but dislike Theodore, so I wouldn't - and I'm someone who would always put the full versions of Ollie/Freddie/Alfie et al on BC. Theo seems like a proper name to me though, so fine on BC.

MsJennifer · 28/06/2017 14:21

Yes I do like it :)

Theodore could lead to the nickname Teddy if you wanted?

Sophronia · 28/06/2017 14:51

I'd put Theodore on the birth certificate.

Aedie4 · 28/06/2017 15:13

Yes I definitely would, gives him more options when he's older-he could be Theo, Theodore or Teddy, all of which are rather lovely :) x

sysysysref · 28/06/2017 15:17

No, not unless you like the name. Theo is a perfectly sensible and proper name. I've a short name as my full name and have never wanted another option, my name is my name. I'm not going to start calling myself something different!

Epipgab · 28/06/2017 16:09

Yes, I think it's nice to have the full name as an option.

Yogagirl123 · 28/06/2017 16:22

I love Theo, such a great name, personally I don't like Theodore, so just Theo I would say. I am sorry but I can't stand Teddy or Bear, but that is just me. It's a little bit like the name Charlie, that is their name, not many are Charles on BC in my experience.

Theodore. I always prefer full names on BCs.

MiniMaxi · 28/06/2017 16:59

Personally I would but only if you like the name (even if you don't plan to use it day to day)

Or Theobald Wink

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/06/2017 22:34

I prefer Theo,
Theon.

revolution909 · 28/06/2017 22:39

Yup I would! As someone said either Theodore or Theobald

Lemondrop99 · 28/06/2017 23:09

I always prefer the long version on the BC to give more choices.

I wouldn't use Theon though! Nice name, terrible associations though
