Has it been popular for a long time?

I have one who is 14 and there were 2 or 3 others in his year at primary. None in his year at high school.

I hadn't realised it was so popular when I named him. Mine was named after the love interest in supergirl the film

One. He's 20 months and he's mine.

I have known 4, ranging from 17 to 3. Tom cruise's character in mission impossible is an Ethan as well I think. Weirdly 3 of the 4 that I know have the same surname!

So it has been round a good while then and is fairly popular but not overly so. Like the fact it's fresh (ish) with biblical roots

Loads. I live in Australia and there is one in every toddler group we go to. In DD's daycare class there are 4!!

2, one is 3 1/2 the other is 9 weeks

One aged 5, work colleague's son. Most people pronounce it eefan, which is a shame.

I like the fact it sounds modern (I hated having a very old fashioned, dull name at school) but is actually biblical.

When I first started loving the name 25 years ago it seemed very 'out there', I was a bit gutted to be honest that it became so popular just as I eventually had a baby!
