Ree al ta

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 25/06/2017 21:45

I'd say 'Ree-AL-tah'.

Hersetta427 · 25/06/2017 21:45

Ree-al-ta is how I would pronounce it.

YoureNotASausage · 25/06/2017 21:45

Ree-al-ta

SuperBeagle · 25/06/2017 21:46

Ree-alta

Alta with the "al" sound that's in the name Alan.

TaggieRR · 25/06/2017 21:47

Ree-alt-a

TaggieRR · 25/06/2017 21:48

Or actually like Super beagle

Anatidae · 25/06/2017 21:48

Re-al- ta

But the al is a bit like an ol.

MummaThree · 25/06/2017 21:48

Thank you, I did think the same but wasn't sure.
My DP and I are expecting our third DC and although we don't know the sex yet we have a boys name including middle picked out and a girls name but was thinking of that for a middle.

Ree-ahl-ta. The "ah" sound being short, not long.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 26/06/2017 06:17

www.pronouncekiwi.com/rialta

(4 native Italian speakers pronouncing it here!).

Lovely idea for a name.

MummaThree · 26/06/2017 09:35

Thank you @ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap I think I clicked on every single one of them to hear the pronunciation lol

Joeybee · 30/06/2017 08:58

Ree-Alter with the emphasis on the second half.

VintagePerfumista · 30/06/2017 09:07

Where did you find it?

louisejxxx · 30/06/2017 09:09

It made me think of Rialto bridge too. Ree-al-ta.

MummaThree · 30/06/2017 10:27

@VintagePerfumista I was googling names in relation to water (don't ask lol) think this meant 'deep brook' or something I can't remember now lol but name meanings aside, I liked the look of it and I had in my head how I thought it was pronounced but just wanted to check
