Choosing between two names for a boy

We have many reasons for loving both of these names, but don't want to affect your reactions! Any thoughts, preferences, or side-effects/coincidences we haven't thought of, for a boy:

Alexander
Maximilian

Obvs they'll often be Alex or Max, which are fine. Thanks for any help!

Love Alexander but it is sadly probably too common now (at least where I'm from),

Max is great but prefer it shortened from Maxwell instead. 👍🏻

Alexander :-)

BadToTheBone · 10/06/2017 22:23

I have a hatred of Alexander, so I'll vote Maximilian.

Max although both are nice

Alexander. Max as a short name is nice.

RuthB4 · 11/06/2017 16:36

Both are lovely! I can't choose!

Coey2016 · 11/06/2017 19:28

Maximilian

Both great! Sorry, that's totally unhelpful...

MiniMaxi · 11/06/2017 20:37

Max!

I like Alexander better, both long and short versions.
