Hello!
We are having a real dilemma! My husband and I HAD decided on the name Flynn to go with DS1 Sam. All decided and have referred to baby by this name since 20 ish weeks (30 weeks currently). My husband has now decided he loves the name Nate and is considering it! I do like the name and now can't decide! What do people think? Flynn or Nate? Please help!!!

Thankyou all so much for the advice! I am surprised my DH is even considering another name. Flynn means 'son of a red haired man, and DH is indeed V red headed. Will show him this thread!

I don't like Flynn it reminds me of stodgy flan! And that it's a mistake for Finn.

Sam and Nate go really well.

I really dislike Nate and Nathan reminds me of the chracter on Corrie who is particularly grim.

I really like Nate, but dislike Nathan. I really like Nathaniel though, but Nathaniel and Samuel would be silly.

I also like Flynn, less so than Nate, but more than Nathan.

Both names are lovely! I really wouldn't be able to choose either! Maybe wait and see what he looks like? We considered Maeve for our DD2 but she really did not look like a Maeve when she was born!

I think maybe Flynn sounds more post than it is because of all the baby Finleys, Finlays, Finns and Finnegans etc.

I really love Nathan, nicknamed to Nate with Sam (Samuel).

Neither. Flynn reminds me of Phlegm.

I like both (helpful I know) but think I prefer Nate with Sam, though prefer Flynn in general
