So we found out that we're having a second girl, sister to Alice. We would love another classic name, but we've also found out that she is going to be born with some lung issues and will need to be a little fighter to get through it.
So perhaps names that mean strength, hope or something similar? Or just strong sounding names that go with Alice. Hit me with some ideas!

Esperanza means hope in Spanish!!

Louise was what I was going to suggest or Helen meaning light, brightness (think light at the end of the tunnel) could be seen as strength.

My first thought was Matilda. I've always loved it, goes well with Alice and means 'mighty in battle.' I hope everything goes well for you all. x

I like the names with an unabashedly tough meaning such as Matilda and Valentina. Hope seems a bit wishy washy.
