Hummm coming round to Anya a bit! Seems popular on this thread

Clara was my idea dh liked it but prefers Anya

Thing is I would like to use anne as a middle name as it's mine and dd middle name. Feel I'm starting a tradition without having to pick a random name or choose a family name from either side causing problems haha!

I absolutely love Hermione! By far my favourite on your list Smile

Also like Anya but it doesn't sound like you're too keen, Eloise but I'd avoid if you don't want an E theme, and Romilly. Clara and Maeve are pretty and strong but don't wow me. Not mad on the others.

How about Cordelia or Cecily?

Redpramlady · 30/05/2017 17:37

I love Hermione too! But even dh pronounced it her mar nie

From your revised list, Maeve or Clary. Our DD1 was nearly called Maeve but some friends beat us to it (we hadn't discussed names).

Although I LOVE Hermione. DH vetoed it (because of Harry Potter). I think pretty much everyone knows how to pronounce it now?

BrexitSucks · 30/05/2017 18:24

Most of them are challenging to spell. Some are challenging to say. You might think that's silly to care about until your child is the one with dyslexia or a speech problem.

I like Cressida, Ophelia & Amara most.

My absolute favourite name is pippa and I'm still so fed up that it is slang in European countries for all sorts!!

Also really like heidi but SILs name!

What about Pippa with Philippa on the bc? It seems a shame not to have your favourite name. Different if you are likely to live anywhere where it is an issue. I suspect Pippa Middleton is fairly well travelled and she hasn't had to change her name yet Smile.

Wingbing · 30/05/2017 18:55

Sidonie is lovely, not heard it before and I love it.

Dixiestamp · 31/05/2017 01:33

I know a Sidonie and have always thought it sounded very unique. Also like Clara, Eloise and Romilly too.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 31/05/2017 03:40

I love Maeve, and it's on my list for as-yet born DC. (For a girl Wink)

I also like Sidonie but think it too rhyming with Elodie.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 31/05/2017 09:23

Philippa Anne (Pippa), is really nice OP, you should consider it, if it's your favourite name.😀

Redpramlady · 31/05/2017 09:28

If it helps... she's likely to be blonde blue eyed if she's anything like dd

Agree I'm coming around the Philippa and I love Pippa
Juts feel I would be tainting her with a name of bad meanings with pippa 😩😩😩 so annoying!!!

Anya is the nicest, followed by Clara.

Redpramlady · 31/05/2017 09:35

Any alternatives send them my way!
