Hi due our baby girl soon and trying to come up with names
We really like the names Amelia and Jasmine but not sure which way round to have them as first and middle names?

Our surname is Whyte if that helps haha

I love Jasmine, so Jasmine Amelia Whyte, would be my choice.

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 20/05/2017 19:58

Maybe think how the initials would look?
JAW('s) may not be a good idea!
Names are lovely tho.

Amelia Jasmine is better!!

Popskipiekin · 20/05/2017 20:02

I think Amelia Whyte flows marginally better than Jasmine Whyte, but Amelia is very popular and I do love the name Jasmine but agree JAW initials isn't great! If you do go with Jasmine could you chuck in another middle name?

Epipgab · 20/05/2017 20:05

Yes, considering the initials, Amelia Jasmine.

Nicky2468 · 20/05/2017 20:33

Amelia's quite a popular name but the JAW initials would put me off unfortunately. So I'd pick Amelia out if the two - AJW

Bobbybobbins · 20/05/2017 20:35

I would go for Amelia - we recently painted our living room with a paint called Jasmine White!

BikeRunSki · 20/05/2017 20:39

I was also going to mention the paint.

(Not as bad as India Gray, which strikes me as the colour you'd paint a battleship).

Amelia Jasmine White

lrliml · 21/05/2017 00:00

Someone posted here two days ago about Jasmine White (not Whyte), not the same poster?!
I like both names but each I think have quite a different feel to them so depends what suits you and your family best.

FreeNiki · 21/05/2017 00:02

I like Amelia best

Dlpdep · 21/05/2017 00:05

My child is nearly 7 and I had to stop and wonder what her initials actually are. I wouldn't let that put you off.

29Palms · 21/05/2017 01:05

There's really nothing wrong with initials JAW. It doesn't spell anything offensive or comical. Not like it was BUM or TIT.

Joeybee · 21/05/2017 01:24

Amelia Jasmine sounds best.

RuthB4 · 21/05/2017 08:16

I prefer jasmine and i really wouldn't be put off by the initials JAW. It's going to be very rare that they are written together and even if so it's nothing offensive! My best friend's initials spell COG and my cousin's is ARMS but it really doesn't matter!!

17caterpillars1mouse · 21/05/2017 09:12

Love Jasmine and JAW wouldn't put me off. Cute family nn Jaws? Hehe

I like Amelia but love Jasmine it's so pretty

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 21/05/2017 09:15

What if she had to wear braces. . . Just no. .

FrenchMartiniTime · 21/05/2017 09:17

Amelia sounds better with your surname.

Jasmine Whyte sounds like a laundry detergent.

AppleOfMyPie · 23/05/2017 12:49

My hallway is painted Jasmine white!

Amelia is far better.
