Jodie/Jody

For a girl.

Jodie I think, perhaps, has an overly 80's vibe to it. But I like the sound, so Jody?

What do you reckon? Too dated, or ready to be "fresh" again? It's not like there'll be many in her class at school.

Think many people would assume boy if you use the Jody spelling.

I think there's an Aussie model called Jodhi Mears. But honestly, upon hearing her name, everyone will automatically write Jodie, so she will constantly have to correct it if you use any other spelling.

I love Jodie. I don't think it's dated at all, but the only one I know is 13 and super cool.

By being 'dated' it means there won't be a classroom / playground full of the same named children.
Go for it.

I know a male Jody so would think boy if I saw it spelt like that.

Jodie for a girl initially seems a bit 80's to me but every Jodie I've ever encountered has been lovely so it has positive connotations.

Jodie is lovely, uncommon but not odd. Go for it.

Jody is a boy's name.

My sister is called Jody and she complains all the time she has the boys spelling. Although I'm sure she'll feel better knowing she's not alone!

I like it for boys and girls and both spellings! Not many names I say that about!
Joni is nice too.
