Love it and think Scandi rather than cutesy. Also, not overused.

stuckinthehouse · 02/05/2017 16:30

I love it! Would totally use it if our surname didn't begin 'Ho...'

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2017 16:32

I love it too. I have a lovely friend called Heidi in her 40s so I'm maybe a bit bised

usernjdhkvdgkb · 02/05/2017 16:53

I loved the name Heidi until I was out last weekend and heard an adult playfully calling a baby Heidi Widey and thought there's a potential insight into her high school life!

Redpramlady · 04/05/2017 19:56

Absolutely love it!!!! but I can't use it already a family member

EezerGoode · 04/05/2017 19:58

Lush name, with Louise for a second name

FluffyMcCloud · 04/05/2017 19:59

Love the name Heidi. I wanted my 2nd child to be Heidi Florence. But he was a boy...

PollytheDolly · 04/05/2017 20:20

My best friends name and we are both 44. Timeless and so feminine. Love it.

LynetteScavo · 04/05/2017 20:26

It's short for Adelheid....the shortened form hasn't been popular in the U.K. foe forever, do I wouldn't say it's timeless like Elizabeth or Edward.

LilyRose16 · 04/05/2017 20:28

Absolutely love it

ThierryEnnui · 04/05/2017 22:47

Like it, and every Heidi I know is a thoroughly decent and nice person too (which always sways me on names)

Oysterbabe · 05/05/2017 15:48

My DD is Heidi so I'm obviously a fan :)

BitOutOfPractice · 05/05/2017 18:25

I don't think I've ever seen such a positive opinion of snake on MN Grin

summerblonde · 05/05/2017 18:26

It's fabulous feedback 😊 and confirms what I thought. It's a beautiful beautiful beautiful name.

Are you expecting a girl op?

BitOutOfPractice · 05/05/2017 22:52

Obviously snake = a name Blush

summerblonde · 06/05/2017 07:11

My sis is expecting a girl. She's been umming and ahhing about the name worried it's too cutesy. I love it. I think this thread had swayed her. 😊

I know a Heidi. She is the most wonderful girl. So polite and kind and just lovely. Makes me like the name.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/05/2017 07:38

I always think it's a very clean name. The name of a child with a well scrubbed face and shiny hair. Healthy and rosy cheeked. I really do love it.

Joeybee · 07/05/2017 02:03

LOVE IT!!!! Love the association with the character as well. I think it's a strong name.

Mumoftheark · 08/05/2017 17:45

It's one of my favourites absolutely gorgeous.
I know 2, one is 5/6 the other is 1
