I really love it but spelt Anneliese. I'm thinking of it as a middle name if I ever have another daughter. Also love how in the first name spot it can be shortened to Annie

GuinessPunch · 29/04/2017 11:09

I really like it.

GoodyGoodyGumdrops · 29/04/2017 11:13

I like it. I've known a few and they all spelled it differently. TBH your spelling is my least favourite - it looks like an illiterate 'analyse' (sorry).

I haven't ever come across a child called any variant of Anneliese, though.

AlmostAJillSandwich · 29/04/2017 11:18

My friend has an Analise, personally i've always loved the name anna/ana so with it available as an abbreviation i quite like it.

Steinbeck · 29/04/2017 11:19

Pretty name

potatomama · 29/04/2017 11:33

bit hard to spell, you/she will forever be spelling it out to people

MrsMozart · 29/04/2017 11:43

I like it :)

flibberdy · 29/04/2017 11:49

Lovely. I first heard it when a wee sprog watching home & away (or neighbours, can't remember) and thought it such a pretty name I would call my daughter it!

Beebeeeight · 29/04/2017 11:50

It's nice but does make me think of the airhead from neighbours!

Hulder · 29/04/2017 12:01

Well clearly it's mispelt Grin

It's a brilliant name but invariably pronounced wrongly by English speakers - would be pronounced Annalisa, spellings vary widely across European countries and are not helpful and often and in -e which doesn't help. Anneliese should be pronounced Annalisa this isn't my spelling by the way, there are other Nordic variations

A lifetime of correcting the spelling and pronunciation, plus telling people you don't shorten it awaits but it is the best name ever!

TwoAndTwoEqualsChaos · 29/04/2017 12:04

I came on the say the same as Beebeeeight

SuperBeagle · 29/04/2017 12:19

I don't like it, but I love Anna on its own.

iklboo · 29/04/2017 12:23

I know an Annalise. She's lovely.

Dozer · 29/04/2017 12:24

Aussie soap character from 90s, so would think antipodean.

GenerationYmember · 29/04/2017 12:44

Cheers guys, the spelling is a bit of an issue, like all my favourite names :(

My middle name is Anne so I'm reluctant to go for the Annelise spelling and I think the Annalise spelling is more well known which could make it easier for her?!

The neighbours character does not put me off! She was gorgeous..

❤️ Anneliese.

FeedTheSharkAndItWillBite · 29/04/2017 20:55

I like Annalisa :)

Anneliese sounds very old-fashioned to me (my first language is German, so maybe not an association in the UK). And I'm sorry to say, but not a good old-fashioned. The name is "bad" old-fashioned, in my personal (!!) opinion. I'm not trying to insult anybody, that's just how I feel about that name.

Anneliese? Imo no.
Annaliese? nice.
Annalisa? lovely.

FeedTheSharkAndItWillBite · 29/04/2017 21:02

Sorry, forgot to mention it:

Annalise is nice imo.

Btw, looking at that screen I started to get so confused. Anna/Anne/Liese/Lise/Lisa... It all started to look the same. I hope I didn't confuse them ultimately. Blush Confused

Isadora2007 · 29/04/2017 21:04

Too confusing to spell and the one I know is a spoilt little horror so I have a bad connotation for that name.

SnapCrackleOutOfIt · 29/04/2017 21:06

Neighbours

AgentOprah · 29/04/2017 21:08

I know a little Annalese.

user1492781016 · 29/04/2017 21:14

it's the best name I have very heard Wink plus your spelling is the best and easiest way in my opinion. It was hard enough learning to spell growing up if am honest but that way is the best.

Sophronia · 29/04/2017 22:44

Love it spelled Annaliese.

Pemba · 30/04/2017 05:17

Very nice.

KoalaDownUnder · 30/04/2017 05:30

I love it. My friends have a lovely Annalise, and I like that you can have the nn 'Anna'.
