Hiya, our son was born on the 23rd.

Do you prefer Henri or Louis? :)

Thank you.

Both lovely names. Go with your heart :)

If your're not Frenc with a French last name, Henry. Fab name.

pilates · 28/04/2017 11:53

Prefer Henry.

pipilangstrumpf · 28/04/2017 13:19

Yes Louie if you want it pronounced that way, but I quite like Louis pronounced phonetically as Lou-is. Like the city St Louis.

Unless you're French of course Smile

Louis. Henri is fine as long as you are planning to pronounce it correctly (although would be a bit odd if you're not actually French).

Bear Congratulations!
A year ago I would have said Louis and now I'll say Henri just because there are lots of little boys called Louis around - just my opinion.
Nothing wrong with popular though.

Louis

Henri would sound odd with an English accent (without the guttural R and nasal vowel)

pipilangstrumpf · 28/04/2017 15:18

In England: Henry or Louie

In France: Henri or Louis
