Pretty sure these are my final 2 choices

Violet

Which one and why? i dont want there to be multiple people in her class / friend group with this name so thats why im swayed towards Kitty as violet is climbing. All opinions welcome

Btw, Sophronia my great great aunt was called Kitty too. She was a BALLER.

not keen on kitty sorry. violet is nice, makes me think of charlie and the chocolate factory though

Kitty is a strong feisty and witty female.

Violet has (for me) connotations of Shrinking, Violence and Toilet.

If you do call her Kitty, you absolutely must get the books by Bel Mooney and read them to her. I loved this books as a kid, and Kitty is a great feisty little girl

I like both but I agree that Kitty should be short for something. Maybe she could be Violet Katherine with Kitty for short?

I know a Kitty in her late 20s and it really suits her.

Katherine, Kate, Katerina, Katarina, Catrin... I prefer all of these to Kitty for the bc.

Love the suggestion of using Violet as a middle name.

I'm really not keen on any of the longer names such as Katherine. I'm really liking just Kitty at the moment... Any more middle name recommendations would be good, as i said one syllable would probably be better with last name :)

so i was thinking, what about just Kit on the BC and then Kitty as a nickname? thoughts on this? I know Kit is a boys name but it is a girls name too!

I don't see why it's a boys' name anyway. It's a nn originally, so not traditionally speaking a boy or girl name. I don't think. I mean Chris and Jackie could be either couldn't they? Don't mention Bill or Bob .

Both names are lovely. If you go for Kitty how about Kitty Faith unless your surname starts with C.

Love Violet - such a cool name. Was a possibility for my dd but when she arrived she was a big sturdy baby and just didn't really look like a Violet so we went for something else. Now she is a petite teenager and would have suited the name so I wish I had stuck to my guns.

Love Kitty for a baby, toddler and small child but not for a teenager or woman - so would go with Katherine. I personally don't like Kit for the bc at all.

being as indecisive as i am, i am now starting to like Violet more Kitty Faith is very nice though. Think i will just have to wait and see which one i choose.
