Which do you prefer? I can't decide!

Thanks.

Flora is lovely, not keen on Bridget

Flora.

Lucinda

I don't like the look of Bridget. I prefer Brigitte.

TurquoiseDress · 27/04/2017 19:33

Oooh I love Lucinda!

ScarletSienna · 28/04/2017 09:18

Flora now just makes me think of easy to spread margarine.

Bridget sounds clumpy.

I like Lucinda and know two; one uses her full name and the other is Luci.

Lucinda, definitely.

Lucinda.
Not keen on Bridget and Flora is awful.

Bridget!

Iris and Lucinda is a nice combination.

However, I love the name Bridget, and I think Iris and Bridget would be gorgeous. Each name has its own personality. Bridget is the name I wanted for DD3 and I still regret not using it. She would have been 'Biddy'.

I would not use Flora - you are right that it creates a gardening theme, though it's a lovely name imo.

Bridget is my favourite, it was on my list if my boy had been a girl.
I also like Lucinda.

WildCherryBlossom · 29/04/2017 13:56

I really love Flora but I understand your concern with Iris. I was at school with a Flora who had a face like a cherub surrounded by a mass of unruly tumbling curls and a rebellious nature. She was fab. My daughter has a friend called Flora who is boisterous and cheeky in a charming way. I don't associate it with girly girls. Those I have known have had a slightly wild streak.

However I do see the issue with Flora & Iris being too botanical. I actually think Bridget goes best with Iris.

Lucinda is pretty. I've always liked it (I named my doll Lucinda when I was little) but for some reason it doesn't chime as well with Iris. How about Linda (means beautiful in Spanish)

Thank you for all the replies, it's really helped.

Mainly it's clarified that I don't want a floral theme so I've dropped Flora even though it's lovely.

I lean towards Bridget at the moment though Lucinda is prettier. I think I have a soft spot for the serious names.
