We have no Dutch heritage, so we aren't going for Schuyler. However, we are unsure if we should go for Skyla/Skylar/Skyler? For our baby girl. She is definitely this name (has been since we knew she was a girl) we are registering her on Tuesday, so need to know Smile

I like Skylar best.

you must have a boy next and call him Lafayette

Skylar

A feels more feminine that E. So I'd say

Skyla or Skylar for a girl.
Or Skyler for a boy.

I think Skyla is nicest.

There are three girls with this name at the school I work at. They are all spelt Skyla.

In Europe, Schuyler is likely to be pronounced the same as the usual way for the surname (see adaptations of Death on The Nile - it's sort of shoy-ler)

So if you want the sound 'Skyla' spell it 'Skyla'

Schuyler

Schuyler. Because that's the way it's spelt. The others look made up.

Schuyler or Skyler. Not Skyla... :=0

We are going for Skyla. It's the most common spelling and the only spelling that's 100% female.
