How many Ezras do you know?

Hi everyone, after a bit of your wisdom please.
Dp had originally vetoed Ezra months ago as a contender for DC3 but has now taken a surprising u-turn and said he likes it. My question is- how many baby boys do you know that have this name?
I'm aware it's on the rise and will probably be much higher in this year's baby names charts (currently 127th I think) but is this more so in the south maybe? We're in the north east fwiw.
Thanks a bunch ladies. Grin
Xx

I have an Ezra in my distant family, he's in his teens now. Never come across another one though.

DeleteOrDecay · 22/04/2017 19:43

I'm in the West Midlands by the way.

MotherofPearl · 22/04/2017 19:43

I love the name Ezra, and sometimes wish we'd used it for our DS. But I don't know any Ezras - I'm in the NW.

strawberrypenguin · 22/04/2017 19:47

None I only ever see it on MN baby name threads!

seven201 · 22/04/2017 19:55

I've met one adult Ezra and I'm in the south. I'm a teacher too and know what you mean about associating names with certain naughty kids.

RedRoseMummy · 22/04/2017 19:57

One almost 2yo

Primaryteach87 · 22/04/2017 19:59

5, all under 4 years old.

Primaryteach87 · 22/04/2017 19:59

^they are all lovely. So no negative associations

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 20:03

A grown up one and a little one.

cliffdiver · 22/04/2017 20:05

One; he's in his late teens.

Pigeonpost · 22/04/2017 20:13

Two. South west.

TheseAreTheGoodOldDays · 22/04/2017 20:17

I know a newborn Ezra, also in the NE Smile

Code42 · 22/04/2017 20:23

I know a lot - but mainly in Israel: just a couple in the UK - 2 primary school age and 2 adults. Am also in the NW.

helenfagain · 22/04/2017 20:25

Love this name, was on my shortlist but dp preferred the one we chose. I've met one Ezra (approx 14 years old).

MummaGiles · 22/04/2017 20:26

I've come across one Ezra since DS was born in early 2015 (north west)

Mrsknackered · 22/04/2017 20:29

I really love Ezra.
I only know a 20 something Ezra, and a friend of mine is expecting one soon.
I know a female Esra.

ThomasRichard · 22/04/2017 21:00

3, all born in the last year or so (South East).

Sophronia · 22/04/2017 22:36

None

ineedmoreLemonPledge · 22/04/2017 22:38

I know two. One 40 and one 20.

Always liked it.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2017 22:43

I've never come across one.

Dontrocktheboat · 22/04/2017 22:45

I know one aged 4.
It is a lovely name, I suggested it for ds 1 but was vetoed as too weird!
I think it will increase in popularity, like Noah, but difficult to predict to what degree!

AlexandraEiffel · 22/04/2017 23:36

One 1 year old

Batghee · 22/04/2017 23:39

I love the name Ezra and am always hearing that its popular but ive ever actually met anyone with that name in my whole life!! So it cant be that popular.
The other names that are supposed to be popular at the moment ive met loads of. Loads of babies called Luna and Violet.
No Ezras though!

Summertime10 · 23/04/2017 09:44

Thanks for the feedback everybody. I think it's our front runner. Can imagine we'll get a few raised eyebrows but I don't care- it's one of the few names we've agreed upon and it fits well. Grin

I know two, both under 10, both girls. It never crossed my mind it would be a boys name. It seems it's unisex now...
