We have chosen amelia-rose for a girl.
We were struggling for a boys name. I was considering Dylan.
Our close friend recently had a seizure and alnost died and my dh would like to name baby after him if we have a boy.
What do you think of Paul?
I like it for a teen/adult name but not sure for a baby Smile
I dont think there is any name that suits all stages of life

I remember lots of people were shocked that Sam Faiers named her baby Paul.... but I'd rather a Paul than a "Pilot Inspektor"!

Wee babies do grow up after all Smileand it would be a lovely tribute to your friend.

She called him Paul because she's a boyfriend pleaser and he wanted his son to gave his name.

Babyblues14 · 22/04/2017 23:55

That makes no sense Mitzy and we haven't called it anything yet since we dont know the sex. Also not everyone who is pregnant has a "boyfriend", people do have them when they are married. I wasn't asking for opinions on him picking the name. Just on the name.

Er, obviously I was responding to the comment that preceded mine...

mitzy uh, yeah duh... Grin

NameChange30 · 23/04/2017 06:01

Lol

Peregrane · 21/02/2018 12:52

Love Paul, it's on my shortlist (not yet shared with DH. Going by previous experience, he will most likely hate it :) )

thisismadness77 · 21/02/2018 12:58

Like it.

MikeUniformMike · 21/02/2018 13:16

Paul is fine. It's not out there or too popular and it sounds nice. Dylan is awful. I don't like Amelia-Rose. Ditch the hyphen and it will be a nice normal name.

Titsywoo · 21/02/2018 13:17

Every Paul I've ever met has been gorgeous. And always a bastard Grin. I like the name though.

ZOMBIE THREAD

Alexthekid · 18/05/2018 08:48

I know it's a zombie thread, just wondering if OP is still about if you did call your baby Paul?
I really love the name!

goose1964 · 18/05/2018 09:44

Why not use it as a middle name. DH wanted to call his son Roger after his late best friend, there's no way I'd lumber a child with that name so we used it as a middle name. Love Dylan btw

RexManning · 18/05/2018 10:55

I quite like Paul, but in some accents it’s pronounced more like ‘pol’ and that would put me off. Depends where you live!

BelieveAnything · 18/05/2018 15:27

I think Paul is a great name. The only one I know is about 20? I've known him since a young child and I've always thought his name was cool. It's so much better than all the millions of Jacks, Oliver's and Harry's etc.

MikeUniformMike · 18/05/2018 18:50

Paul is due a comeback. It will get very popular again. It's straightforward and works in other countries. Dylan is awful, sorry.

blinkineckmum · 19/05/2018 18:45

I love the name Paul.

buttercup54321 · 20/05/2018 18:51

Very nice and due a comeback imo.

DramaAtTheTurkeyCafe · 22/05/2018 17:18

Classic and kind of neutral. I've known a lot more nice Pauls than annoying ones.

ellalouise90 · 22/05/2018 17:29

Dylan Paul is a lovely name! Don't know how I feel about Paul alone though🤔🤔
