We are thinking of calling our son Rock, what are your thoughts?

I work with guy called Rocky. He's lovely but very short and round and really REALLY hasn't grown into the name. It's always the first thing new colleagues double take at.

Don't let him do it!

I like Rocco.

Awful

Sit him down to watch Shirley Valentine

Peter or Pierre both mean Rock, which, using MN logic, could lead to the nickname if really wanted. It's awful as a first name. It's a reasonably common surname in parts of Ireland.

Funny about your husband thinking responses would be different if you'd posted your own views!

I actually do like Flint. And Brad. And Clint...

I think they have a similar feel but are less... "rocky"...

But Pierre is a lovely suggestion imo. Pierry nn Rock is adorable :)!

Terrible. My horse is called Rocky which is cute but it is definitely not a human name.
