Maxim = lads' mag?

Considering Maxim as a middle name; I think it's fab plus it's a nice nod to DH, who is Maximilian. But we're concerned about the connection to the lads' mag of the same name. Is it a dealbreaker, even for a middle?

Also thinking about Magnus as it has the same meaning/origin. Which do you prefer?

Thank you all! I love Maxim much more than just Max and you're probably right that it doesn't matter so much in the middle anyway. Glad to hear about all the illustrious Maxims who spring to mind too!
