I love both of these names, which do you prefer? Thank you. Smile

Margot

Mary is a understated stylish name. Between me and dh we have about 100 Mary's in our families so it's middle name territory only.

Margot sounds middle aged and dumpy to me but I know it's very popular at the moment.

Both dated. Margot reminds me of a maggot

Margot.
Mary is dull and means 'sea of bitterness'.

Margot. Gorgeous name!

I really dislike Margot.

Mary is much nicer.

I remember reading Anne Frank's diary when I was a kid, it was part of a project at school, and I loved her older sister's name Margot. So I'd choose Margot even though Mary is also a fab name.
