My youngest dc's middle name is 'Fabulous'

Grin
StinkPickle · 05/04/2017 08:50

My friends son has the middle
Name "tiger" he's now 13, incredibly skinny (more than just lanky), socially awkward, geeky, buck toothed and glasses. It's an AWFUL fit for him as a middle name and he's mocked mercilessly.

He's such a sweet lovely little boy but my god he's not a Tiger.

PutThatPomBearBack · 05/04/2017 09:10

Led Zeppelin

Our DD's middle name will be Lux. I think that's cool Grin

WankersHacksandThieves · 05/04/2017 11:18

Lux will always be soap to me.

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 11:25

Lux is from Virgin Suicides right?

ShoutOutToMyEx · 05/04/2017 11:51

It's actually from my school Latin textbook... it means light and I always thought it was a pretty word. I've always remembered it and liked it as a name.

Yes, Virgin Suicides.

And soap, and unfortunately the brand of choice of vacuum cleaner in DP's home country. That's why it's a middle name!

One Direction's hairdresser (who is super cool) also named her child Lux. Might be a boy though.

nursebickypegs · 05/04/2017 12:06

I love Lux. I think it's really pretty.

I knew a very cool little boy called Zeno. I think that would be a cool middle name. Also Galen.

mygorgeousmilo · 05/04/2017 18:09

I think make a list of weather and events and stuff when he's born. Turn the radio on, check out any family/cultural history on both sides. Might be a great-great somebody that had a v cool nickname that you can pass on with a story

porterwine · 06/04/2017 02:47

I LOVE Snow and if I ever had a DD in winter I'm definitely using it as a middle name!

I also like the idea of using something a bit different or "out there" or even just something a bit fun for middle names. A friend of mine used Chandler as a middle name because her and her DH binge watched Friends on their first date- I think connections like that make for lovely MNs! I also know a spring baby with Neo as MN as it means "new" and a Bronte as parents bonded over their love of literature. Nice to have stories behind mns :)

queenT90 · 06/04/2017 11:09

Personally I don't think it's fair to give a child a middle name that they could potentially be mocked for, but each to their own!

HeadlessGummyBears · 06/04/2017 11:29

@countrybump Correction, Trouble is the ultimate middle name Grin

Littledidsheknow · 06/04/2017 13:48

No idea...

Zeus, Kurt, Ace, Comet, Razor, Odin, Hawk, Jet, Red, Spike, Boo, Kane, Oz, Butch, Schwartz, Bear, Ludo, Ocean, Spirit, Gaia, Samson, Flame, Napoleon, King, Gentle, Flower, Rain, Zephyr, Casanova, Silver...

Some sound like characters from Gladiators.
