Dexter?

I've always liked this name as it's a character from one of my favourite books of all time, but is it doable for a baby or is it a dogs name?!

I love it, but I'm slightly biased... We use Dex or Dexy a lot. And we got the idea from watching the TV show. But stopped watching after we decided it really was a contender for us.

Aw bless it is a lovely book. I have the same name as the female lead character - always on the lookout for my Dexter!

I love it and DH wanted it for our next baby although we ended up choosing something else.

My consultant obstetrician has the first name Dexter and it made DH like it even more because this doctor is such a cool guy and it helped imagine a Dexter who is not a TV character!

There's one at our toddler group, it's fine as a name.

We have two of the mini cows, they're bastards.

For me it is indelibly linked to the TV serial killer. Now as serial killers go he was played sympathetically..

But seriously, ephemeral connections like that fade very quickly. For a name for a lifetime choose it if you love it.
