Baby girl name help

I'm due my first princess (have two princes) In 4 weeks and I am really struggling with a name. I had my boys named before they arrived Alistair (just liked the name and we are Scottish) and Jackson (MIL surname who passed away just before I became pregnant) both at the time were uncommon. I always had my girls name as Frankie-Jean after my dad and his mum since first pregnancy however my sister "stole"the name Frankie when she became pregnant 4 years ago. I don't like fad or commonly used names like Ava, Eva, Maisy, Macey etc.
My list so far includes:
Elsie-Jean
Imogen
Jean-Anne
Raina Jean
Belle Jean
Francesca-Jean
Violet-Jean
Ruby-Jean
Olivia-Jean
However none of these have satisfied me as much as the name I wanted to use for the last 10 years. Is it to much to still use the name? Dad is no longer with us and his wish was to have a granddaughter with his mums name, hence the Jean has to be there somewhere.
Help!! Hubby just likes to find horrible stuff to rhyme with names 😂 Loved Iris but that rhymes with Virus and now can't get it out my head.

Why not just Jean? I think it's pretty, understated, uncommon and quite cool.

Jean Frances?

lockie1983 · 23/03/2017 21:50

Ha! Cross posts.

I actually think you could get away with calling her Frankie-Jean even if your sister already has a Frankie. However since you also list Francesca-Jean I'd probably pick that with the option to also call her Frankie-Jean. I know families where more than one grandchild has the same or almost the same name as the grandparent (e.g. Victor, Victoria, or one with Victor as the first name, the other with Victor as the second name). I find it slightly odd but it's not unheard of. Of your other suggestions I like Jean-Anne best.

Billie jean!!

We have a line in our family with variations on Jean - Jeanette, Janette, Jean, Jane and Janey. It's nice to have the family connection but also nice to have some individuality within it.

Not sure about sharing the name tbh, I'd speak to your sister first, tell her how you feel and see how she'd feel about it. A name isn't worth risking a relationship over.

Love Jean Louise, but probably only because of To Kill a Mockingbird! Great if you want Scout as a nickname!

GreedyDuck · 26/03/2017 12:19

Iris doesn't rhyme with virus btw.
