Was chatting with my dad about family names and this was one of them that made me think...hmm.

I like it and don't know any little Florences.

Love Florence but hate the nn Flo. Haven't met any little Florences where in my area (N Ireland) and I go to stacks of baby groups at the moment.

I have a two year old Florence (Flora for short) there's another in her class at nursery. We live in the north. Didn't think it was popular that year, but now is, if that bothers you. (I don't care particularly)

I know a Florence and it's Florrie for short

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 06/03/2017 20:03

It's lovely
I only know one Florence (aged about 8/9)
In Yorkshire

I've come across quite a few (South East). I like the name but don't like Flo/Flossie/Flirry or any other abbreviation.

I love the name. It is my daughters name.

It wasn't popular at all when she was born but it is very popular now, annoyingly. I can see why though, it's a sweet name.

We don't shorten it.
