have found out we are expecting a boy! I like Luke, DH likes Nathaniel. We're both ok with the other's favourite but neither of us love them. I like Sebastian, Ignatius and Benedict, all of which DH hates.
DH also likes Edward which I don't, particularly. I want to use William as a middle name after both my grandfathers - DH says he likes it enough for a first name but I'm not sure I do.

So please spam me with names!

Currently Luke William and Nathaniel William both seem nice but a bit... meh.

I have a slight preference for Nathaniel - the 2 Lukes I know are nice boys but a bit bland - so slightly colours my views- you could go for the whole lot -

Isaac?

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 05/03/2017 13:24

I've just seen averythinline's list and love Tobias and Kit. Also Jasper but that is definitely a cat name*... but then again Rupert and Rufus are dog names and I suggested those!

*in my world and possibly not representative of the world at large Grin

RiverdaleJughead · 05/03/2017 13:26

Tobias and Kit are bomb but nobody should pick them ... haha I don't want everyone to be called Kit by the time I have a son to name it :')

RiverdaleJughead · 05/03/2017 13:26

Also my friends little brother is called Jasper and I think he's like 13 now

Rockaby · 05/03/2017 14:29

Nathaniel William is lovely and I don't know anyone if that name. I'm not keen on Luke as I find it a little dull personally.

Of your other suggestions I really like Edward and Sebastian.

Ignatius reminds me of a really grim character from a book called Confederacy of Dunces and Benedict makes me say Bendy-dick in my head (I blame a MN username for that)!

Toast, I'm not sure if "it's classic, not dull" was directed at me or not.

If it was directed at me; if you read my post you will see I said that I really like Nathaniel William. It's Luke William, which I find a little dull personally.

If it wasn't directed at me then ignore me! Smile

CocoLoco87 · 05/03/2017 17:55

I like Nathaniel William and Edward William. I also like Joseph, George, Henry, Frederick, Alexander, Edwin, Samuel as first names.

AndNowItsSeven · 05/03/2017 17:58

At least it won't be necessary on a bike.

meettherussians · 05/03/2017 18:01

What about Luca?

daisydalrymple · 05/03/2017 18:09

Matthew William? Has a similar sound to Nathaniel? (The ones I've known both shortened to Matt / Nat as adults)

Do people actually call their children things like Ignatius?

Gabriel

CPtart · 05/03/2017 18:28

I have a Luke William so that would be my choice.
I also have an Adam.
Other names in the frame we liked were
James,
Benjamin,
Edward,
Christopher,
Zachary,
Evan,
Isaac,
Dominic.
Nathaniel is a but of a mouthful and will get Nate, which is awful IMO.
