Rosalie?

I originally posted asking for advice on Miranda, Beatrice or Leila. Someone replied saying they had daughters with two of those names and another called Rosalind. Whilst Rosalind is lovely, I think I would end up calling her Lindy but it set me off thinking about Rosalie, which is just lovely. My husband loves it! I like Rosalie Miranda or Rosalie Leila. We have one son Emmett Levi. What do you think of Emmett and Rosalie? An issue is that our surname ends in -ley. What does Rosalie -ley sound like to you? If you want our surname PM me. Thanks guys!

I know someone who has a Bella and an Edward……..which is much worse. I would go for it - I doubt Twilight will stand the test of time.

Twilight was my first thought

Beautiful name, goes well with Emmett.
I've never seen twilight, but I would use the name regardless.

I haven't seen twilight but had heard of Bella, not Rosalie. I think it's a beautiful name.

Also your children will not spend their lives being "brother name and sister name", they will spend so much more of their lives being referred to in their own right so it's important to pick the name you know is right.

Catherinebee85 · 04/03/2017 13:10

I love the name. Never seen or read twilight so wouldn't have made the connection. Also think it sounds lovely with your surname.

Butterflystar76 · 04/03/2017 13:25

I once met a little girl called Coralie which I though was lovely... slightly similar sounding...

Footle · 04/03/2017 13:34

Rosalie is beautiful. My only problem with it is minor - should the o be long or short? Once you've decided, it's not your problem any more.

FreeNiki · 04/03/2017 13:40

Ive never read twilight or knew any of their names.

Rosalie is beautiful. I would use it.

Her generation are unlikely to know about Twilight or for it still to be a thing.

rileysheart · 04/03/2017 15:10

I think we probably will go with Rosalie!

Good choice!

Also they wont always be children and one of a pair: Emmett and Rosalie together.

Shame not to use a name because of the Twilight thing when a) your children wont always be together and b) Twilight has run out of steam anyway.

Congrats!

Friolero · 04/03/2017 16:44

Oh I love Rosalie, what a gorgeous name! I'm not into Twilight so wouldn't have known about the connection there.
