Just over a week to go and my list has whittled down (I've gone off nearly every name!!) These are what I'm left with, but still no clear winners.
Opinions on these or other suggestions welcome!

Boy - Arran
Mack
Roan

Girl - Isa
Rosa
Arla

Roan and Rosa Smile

NapQueen · 21/02/2017 21:37

Careful if you eventually have a second as Id say you couldnt have a Roan and a Rosa or an Arran and an Arla.

avaj · 21/02/2017 21:39

This will be my third and last!

Roan rhymes with moan? That's what it looks like. Rohan or Rowan would be better if that's how you want it pronounced (nice name btw).

Mack - no way, sounds like a nickname used by Americans in the 50s. Like Slick or something.

Arran - yuck

Isa - love
Rosa - it's okay but quite common
Arla - love

So I like your girls names better!

LovingLola · 21/02/2017 21:42

Don't like Mack - sorry.
Roan to me is the colour of a horse so maybe Rowan instead?

IHeartKingThistle · 21/02/2017 21:45

Ooh I love Mack!

KlingybunFistelvase · 21/02/2017 21:51

I assumed Roan was pronounced the same a species Rowan / Rohan.

If it's more like roan as in strawberry roan horse, then I'd vote for something else.

bohemianred · 21/02/2017 22:11

Love Roan (but spelt Rowan) and Rosa.

Other options based on what you like:

Arlo
Alban
Remi
Arno

Romy
Romilly
Marnie
Wren
Alba

:)

Elbi · 21/02/2017 22:22

All lovely but personally I wouldn't use Isa - to me it's a savings account.

Mack - I would use as a nn

Roan - it's okay but nicer as Rowan

Isa - not sure, sounds like you forgot the bel
Rosa - beautiful
Arla - milk !

TeshiB · 21/02/2017 22:46

Roan but would prefer Rowan.
And Rosa! Both lovely names.

AshesandDust · 21/02/2017 22:48

I really like Mack and Rosa is a lovely name.

Sophronia · 22/02/2017 01:21

Arran and Rosa

Jooni · 22/02/2017 07:34

Mack and Rosa. Isa is lovely too but does make me think of the savings account, and Arla makes me think of the dairy.

avaj · 22/02/2017 08:34

Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't thought of the milk thing with Arla... I think it's put me off though.
Being in Scotland I was worried about the Still Game connection with Isa, but hasn't been mentioned yet!
Rosa and Mack had been my favourites, but then I went off all of them. Possibly over thinking!

Mack and Rosa (or Arla if you can get over the milk thing!)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/02/2017 09:40

Mack and Rosa, for sure. Both great names. 😀

CakeRattleandRoll · 22/02/2017 23:56

Arran and Rosa

Bringbacksummer · 23/02/2017 00:00

OP, not sure if anyone else who has commented is Scottish but I am. Still game is the only thing that pops into my head when I hear the name Isa. I instantly think of an old, busy body. Sorry, it may just be me but I definitely couldn't use that name for a baby because of the connotations in Scotland.

I love Arran and Rosa though.

avaj · 23/02/2017 09:58

Thanks Bringbacksummer, I had a whole day and night of loving the name Isa before I thought of still game! Not really the namesake you want for your DD.
