What do you think of these names to go with big sister Alice, and which is your fave?
This is our first list so may change and we're open to suggestions 😊

I think Rose goes really nicely with Alice. I also like Elodie. Not as keen on the others. From your boys list, I'd probably chose Rory to go with Alice.

jinglebellmel · 13/02/2017 19:24

We have a Samuel, so a little biased there! I think elodie, Harriet and Margot are all lovely but I can't use them for various reasons unfortunately.

As we seem to have similar names, some others we've considered are -

George
Arthur

Imogen
Jemima
Matilda

I'm expecting and it's going to be a Margot or a Jude!

Jojo13 · 13/02/2017 19:37

Harriet and Beatrix/Beatrice I love. Not too keen on others. Elodie always just reminds me of Melody gone a bit wrong.
Max for a boy. Love it.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/02/2017 19:46

Alice and Harriet
Alice and Rose
Alice and Henry
Alice and Samuel

Jooni · 13/02/2017 20:57

I think Alice and Margot or Alice and Henry would be gorgeous!

mum2be2boys · 13/02/2017 21:34

I like Elodie, Rose or Harriet and Jude, Samuel or Max.

Sandsnake · 13/02/2017 21:43

You have great taste. I really like your list and Alice is lovely for your DD.

Not hugely keen on Elodie and I much prefer Beatrice to Beatrix. I like all the boys names pretty much equally.

NameyMcNamerson83 · 13/02/2017 21:55

Thanks everyone, it's good to know there aren't any total clangers in there! 😊

Jinglebellmel - we definitely have similar taste, I've considered all the names you've suggested! Love Arthur but our surname starts with Th so it's a bit of a mouthful. Also like George but OH is unsure.
Matilda is also one of my faves but a friend just used it for their baby so can't use.

Watchingitallagain - we obviously have the same excellent taste in names haha!

I love Harriet. I think it goes well with Alice and has cute nicknames: Harry, Hattie.

Henry is my fave from your boys' list. I do love Sam, but the second syllable in Samuel is often pronounced in a half-hearted manner which sounds ugly to my ears: 'Samyourgh'.

crapfatbanana · 14/02/2017 10:17

Good list. The only two I'm not so keen on are Elodie and Max.

My favourites are probably Rose/Rosie and Rory.

CakeRattleandRoll · 14/02/2017 14:56

My favourites are Margot or Rose for girls, and Henry or Rory for boys.

Florrie21 · 14/02/2017 16:51

All really lovely. I love Harriet . Boys, maybe Henry, Max or Samuel . Good luck.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 14/02/2017 16:53

I like all your names. Can I add Hugo to your list? It was my first thought on seeing Alice - I don't know why but it immediately came to mind.

SuperBeagle · 14/02/2017 20:22

I love Rosie. Rosie and Alice sound lovely together.

Samuel or Henry from your boys list. Smile

The Vicar of Dibley might be the reason it came to mind immediately. Grin

Elodie Rose for a girl or Samuel Jude for a boy

SmokeMeAKipper1 · 14/02/2017 21:13

I love Harriet, timeless

KlingybunFistelvase · 14/02/2017 21:17

I love Harriet, Margot, Jude and Rory. Others are nice too, but like these^^ best by quite a long way.

Waterfeature · 14/02/2017 23:39

Lovely list. I'm not so keen on Eloise, though.

BridgetDarcy · 15/02/2017 07:31

Beatrice & Henry

EggsEleven · 15/02/2017 19:28

Love them all apart from Samuel.

The only thing that would put me off Elodie is that it has the potential for Ellie as a nn which I dislike.

PageStillNotFound404 · 16/02/2017 03:28

Not keen on Jude but love the rest of your boy's list.

I ADORE Harriet, it leaped out of your girl's list as far and away the best IMO.

lizzieoak · 16/02/2017 04:53

Margot seems to be making a comeback, but to me it'll always be Margot Ledbetter. Love Beatrice, Rosie, and Harriet and for the boys' list, while Henry isn't my favourite, it does go well w Alice. Any of the boys' names, though think Alice and Rory are not quite name-mates.
