Deliberating over a name for Dd3, born yesterday. We already have Emma Rosie and Charlotte Lucy. We have a long list of possibilities but current forerunners are Harriet, Daisy, Laura and Eleanor (Nell). Any suggestions/thoughts gratefully received, thanks.

Emma Rosie and Charlotte Lucy. forerunners are Harriet, Daisy, Laura and Eleanor (Nell)

I don't like Harriet though Hattie is cute.
Daisy is nice for a child but not so much an adult.
Laura is nice but I wouldn't do another "ah" finish as you have an emma already. So Hannah and Anna out too. How about laurel?
Eleanor would give you two E. surnames which is annoying for mail.

Sorry!

Other names that would go nicely with those sisters are Amy, Isabel, Olivia or Beth...

Congratulations- three girls, how lovely. Flowers

Thanks, congratulations to you too. I also love the name Matilda! It's tricky, not sure we are getting any closer to deciding. So many names to choose from and this will definitely be our last!

Katherine

Thanks Isadora2007 Smile, feel very lucky.

Funny you picked up on the 2 E's for post, that has been one of our concerns (especially Emma's!)

Congrats. I have three dds. Harriet or Nell xx

CocoLoco87 · 12/02/2017 22:43

I'd go for Harriet from your list. I also love Hannah. Prefer Lauren to Laura

TenThousandSpoons · 12/02/2017 22:47

I think Eleanor is too similar to Emma - the end sound as well as the initial. Out of your front runners I'd choose Harriet. Other suggestions
Anna/Annabel
Sophie/Sophia
Freya
Phoebe

Harriet goes marginally best with the others IMO, but I like Eleanor and Laura best. Laura's fab and has fallen undeservedly into disuse.

GoldenWorld · 13/02/2017 04:14

I like Laura and Harriet the best with Emma and Charlotte. Others I think go well are:

Holly/Molly
Martha
Bethany
Ruby
Nancy
Lydia
Louisa
Abigail
Beatrice
Alexandra
Victoria

Aw lovely names, reminds me of the brontë sisters, perhaps you should call her Anne/Anna 😃

My youngest dds name is Megan, I think that would suit your older dd's names, and Megan Daisy sounds cute.

Out of your names, i do think Laura goes best, I don't think Harriet particularly rolls off the tongue with charlotte.

Lauren or Bethany would be lovely too.

KoalaDownUnder · 13/02/2017 04:51

I like Laura and Daisy.

Actively dislike Harriet and Megan.

Kjgr16 · 13/02/2017 12:08

Ha! Thanks, Llamacorn. Anne is a family name but not sure we are ready to fully commit an almost Bronte trio Smile. Alice has been considered which would provide a bigger deviation but with the same initials!

Lovely names on your shortlist OP.

Laura Harriet or Laura Daisy would work well. Eleanor/Nell is nice but perhaps Eleanor is too similar to Emma? Daisy would also be good, with any of the other three as middle name.

Kjgr16 · 13/02/2017 12:43

Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions, many of which are on our long list (which is pretty much the same as the one we made ten years ago when Emma was born!). Not necessarily feeling that we are any closer to deciding, so many lovely names to choose from and definitely our last child! Also still in hospital at the moment 🙁 and feel too sleep deprived to make such an important decision!

It feels a bit odd not having given her a name yet, think we managed to decide the others fairly quickly. Hoping for a flash of inspiration but maybe we just need to choose something and try it out...

My Ds2 didn't have a name for a week and half, I would take your time.

Gabrielle
Meredith
Marissa
Arianne
Carys

marmitecheesetoast · 13/02/2017 13:35

Congratulations! I really like Eleanor. Laura would go well too and not so popular these days.

bohemianred · 13/02/2017 16:51

Eleanor Daisy!!!

Goes so well with Emma Rosie and Charlotte Lucy, that way they all have:

First name : Classic + Middle name : playful, 2 syllables and ending in "y/ie"

Congrats, your daughters have gorgeous names :)

yellowbirdie · 13/02/2017 18:16

Congratulations!!

Emma Rosie
Charlotte Lucy

and...

Harriet Daisy
Louisa Clementine
Helena Phoebe

TenThousandSpoons · 13/02/2017 21:47

Ooh Alice is lovely and goes beautifully with Charlotte and Emma! Smile

RuthB4 · 14/02/2017 04:15

Ooh your daughters have lovely names! I LOVE Laura! Not such a fan of Eleanor or Harriet.

How about Nell as the full name?

Otherwise...
Helen/Helena
Sarah
Phoebe
Jessica
Genevieve
Leah
Amelia
Diana
Ivy
Anna

Congratulations!
