Kenneth was my Granddad's name and I'm suddenly loving it!

Montgomery is a horrible name but Kenneth is one of the worst names in existence, so I guess Montgomery wins.

Garnethair · 11/02/2017 12:32

Monty is great. Ken is fine. How about Mortimer? My new favourite name.

Marmalade85 · 11/02/2017 12:40

Kenneth is the name of Mark's dildo in Peep Show

reuset · 11/02/2017 12:47

I don't remember Mark having a dildo Shock Kennethmont, eh Grin

reuset · 11/02/2017 12:50

Kenneth not Kennethmont!

stuckinthehouse · 11/02/2017 12:53

Definitely Montgomery (nn Monty)

Kenneth was our joke name...

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 11/02/2017 12:58

Kennethmont is a village in Aberdeenshire.

reuset · 11/02/2017 13:00

Is it now Grin

That's my phone's fault, and mine for not checking.

Finola1step · 11/02/2017 13:03

Reminds me of "What's the frequency Kenneth?" By REM. Which I am now going to have on the brain for the rest of the day.

By all means use Kenneth as a middle name. But I wouldn't use as a first.

Monty is ok. Or something like Elliot Kenneth, Samuel Kenneth, Oliver Kenneth.

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 11/02/2017 13:04

Kenneth

meringue33 · 11/02/2017 13:36

Uncle Monty in Withnail & I

meringue33 · 11/02/2017 13:36

Who killed Kenny in South Park

KlingybunFistelvase · 11/02/2017 13:44

I don't really like either (sorry) but, at a push, Montgomery.

The reason for that is that I've noticed a few people saying they like Montgomery on here, so although I don't like it, I guess he's less likely to have little jokes made about his name at school if he is called Montgomery as there must be a few little Montgomerys around.

Mrsknackered · 11/02/2017 13:54

Monty.
I'd laugh to myself if I met a baby Kenneth

MiddlingMum · 11/02/2017 13:57

Simon? David? Ian?

But not Kenneth or Montgomery. Ken is a bloke at the tyre fitters, Monty is possibly a cat or a hamster.

Montsti · 11/02/2017 16:18

My golden retriever is called Montgomery - I love it but wouldn't choose it for a boy, although Monty is cute. I have come across quite a few recently though so it might be a bit "in" at the moment if that bothers you..

Sorry but I really don't like Kenneth - Kenny is quite cute though, but Ken terrible...

RainbowJack · 11/02/2017 17:29

Montgomery

reuset · 11/02/2017 17:56

Did we scare the OP off?

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 11/02/2017 17:59

There's a Welsh rugby player called Ken Owens - DSis and I were only sniggering the other day at having a young man in his 20s called Ken.

And you can't say "Monty" without preceding it with "What ho!"

Sorry OP, but neither.

CaipirinhasAllRound · 11/02/2017 19:56

I like Kenneth and know a cool 30 something year old Kenny.
Not keen on Monty

IntoTheDeep · 12/02/2017 10:30

Kenneth

Angryangryyoungwoman · 12/02/2017 10:41

I don't like either, sorry!

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 12/02/2017 10:43

OH please don't do either.

greeeen · 12/02/2017 10:50

Montgomery nn monty

StumblyMonkey · 12/02/2017 11:05

I'm sorry OP but I think Kenneth must be pregnancy hormones.

If I met a baby Kenneth I would think it was hilarious. Personally I don't think the world is ready for a Kenneth come back just yet.

It mainly makes me think of Ken from Coronation Street.

Monty on the other hand is very cute
