We don't know what sex baby is, so need a name for both.
I like;

Beth
Evelyn (evie)
Alice
Connie (constance )
Molly

Edward ( teddy-even though it's a bit twee)
James
possibly Austin
Albert (Albie)
Noah
George.

It's such a minefield choosing names. Is it easier to wait until they are born?

You seem to like girls' names that end in 'e' - so:

Amy
Rosie
Ellie

etc. Do you want a name you can abbreviate but also use in full?

Mum8 · 02/02/2017 16:18

Girl:
Evelyn
Beth

Boy:
Noah or
Theodore (Theo)?

KlingybunFistelvase · 02/02/2017 16:19

Personally, I'd wait if there's none that you totally love.

Pipilangstrumpf · 02/02/2017 16:20

You need to look at the ONS lists of ALL baby names given each year, there are thousands of lovely names to choose from.

Personally I'm not keen any any of your suggestions, but that doesn't matter as YOU have to find a name YOU love. Good luck!

Maisie
Daisy
Hattie (Harriet)
Rosie
Darcey
Delphie
Sylvie
Evie
Cassie
Kelly
Annie (Annabelle)
Jenny
Susie (Susannah
Katie

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/02/2017 16:30

From your list, I like James and George.

NextInLine · 02/02/2017 16:33

I like Beth or Alice from your girls list.
Noah or James from your boys.

I also like traditional names.
Charlotte (Lottie) and Eleanor were on my list.
And Matthew, William or Isaac for boys.

drinkyourmilk · 02/02/2017 16:35

Appreciate the replies.
We've looked at so many name sites/books.
I love Theodore but my husband categorically hates it alas! If I had my way that would be baby boys name.
Ideally I'd like a longer name that could be abbreviated, and allows them to choose their own nn when older. So Molly would Margaret.

Does he like Thea for a girl?

drinkyourmilk · 02/02/2017 16:39

I like Charlotte! Another to add to the list.
I think we will just have an ideas list, and see how baby looks when born (obviously will be the cutest baby ever to be born! Grin)

We waited until our little girl was born before deciding. Even then we had a bit of a wobble! But we decided on Alice and have never regretted it, I love it! So I choose that one 😊 we've had lots of compliments on her name too!

drinkyourmilk · 02/02/2017 16:42

Thea is out too alas.
He wants Austin or Grace. I'm not keen on Grace, Austin I could live with.

Husbands eh, I also loved Theodore and Sebastian (sebby) but DH was not keen at all and the only boys names he liked were Jack and George! It actually got very heated a few times discussing boys names!! Luckily we ended up with a little girl and she just suited one of the names on our list so much we couldn't have called her anything else!!
I honestly think you can't fully name a baby until you see them, my mum and dad both loved Giles and that was their only boys name but my brother just did not suit it at all so he became an Adam.
I actually think all of the names on your list are lovely so you're starting at a good place!!

drinkyourmilk · 02/02/2017 16:47

He has Edith on his list, I'm not keen.

Melissa

Abigail
Esmeralda

Emilia/Amelia

Nancy
Evie
Pippa/Philippa
Poppy
Hollie
Heather
I'm glad I never had a girl as I found it much harder to pick a name!

Boys names -
Rueben
Hugo
Leon/Leo
William

PosyBoo · 02/02/2017 16:52

So he likes traditional girls names?

PonderLand · 02/02/2017 16:55

Oh I like Martha and Mariella too.

preciouspig · 02/02/2017 17:06

Connie and Albie

jkdnanny · 02/02/2017 19:50

Out of your girls names I like evie and Alice. Also like Connie but less keen on constance (sorry) Molly, beth and Connie are the least common though if that's a concern.

Boys I love noah and albie. James is nice. But also makes a nice middle name.

I like harrison (hari) Sebastian, Elliott, ethan for boys. Girls I like Clara, Olivia (livvy), Anna, Eva.

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 02/02/2017 20:00

Evelyn and Beth - one is my 'future DD' name and one is my name so I am biased
Edward, James and Albert (Albie) - all gorgeous. Two of these are on my 'future DS' list 😂

How about Anna, Charlotte or Eleanor?
Aaaand maybe Oliver, Harry or Hugo?
