What do you think of Jasper Benjamin?

We were going with Jasper James but someone I know has just called their baby the exact same name so feel like I should have a different middle name at least.

Jasper Benjamin? Or other suggestions?

Jasper Benjamin is fab, a lovely choice!

Sparklingbrook · 01/02/2017 17:11

I am old and I just think 'Jasper Carrott'. Plus in the Midlands a Jasper is a wasp.

But none of that may be relevant to you. I quite like Benjamin though.

Sapphireshadow · 01/02/2017 17:17

Love it.

AuntieStella · 01/02/2017 17:19

I think it's lovely

Sgtmajormummy · 01/02/2017 17:23

Sounds like a posh Wedgwood teaset!
Personally, I'd just turn your original choice around and make it James Jasper. Boring (non embarrassing) name first, then something a bit more original.

buckyou · 01/02/2017 17:38

I'm betting on my MIL mentioning the Jasper Carrot connection! But then there's always a famous person or character with both names so that doesn't really bother me.

Don't really want a boring name and got a load of James' in the family anyway.

Love Jasper Benjamin and Jasper James. I wouldn't change the name just because someone you know (only distantly IIRC) has used it though. Only change the middle if you genuinely want to.

Pipilangstrumpf · 01/02/2017 17:43

Love Jasper!

Middle names get so rarely used that you can choose almost anything really, maybe a name with family meaning.

Pipilangstrumpf · 01/02/2017 17:44

I also find James quite dull. Fine as a middle name but Jasper is much more interesting as a first name!

AliciaMayEmory · 01/02/2017 17:44

Love the name Jasper! I also remember Jasper Carrot but it wouldn't spring instantly to mind after all these years.

buckyou · 01/02/2017 18:33

What about Jasper George?

OP posts:
KellyElly · 01/02/2017 18:34

Such a cool name!

Itsworldwar3outthere · 01/02/2017 18:35

Jasper John?
Jasper Jake?

newroundhere · 01/02/2017 18:36

I like Jasper Benjamin but I think it flows better the other way around.

Jasper George flows well but I prefer Benjamin as a name.

Jasper John?

BastardBernie · 01/02/2017 18:36

Jasper William

Brollsdolls · 01/02/2017 22:33

I saw your other thread and I did think 'how about Jasper Ben' instead, so yes I think that's a great name!

Or
Jasper Alexander
Jasper Joel
Jasper Luke

Brollsdolls · 01/02/2017 22:35

Jasper George is fab too!

Mum8 · 02/02/2017 16:33

Like Jasper George or
Jasper Flynn

maitaimojito · 02/02/2017 16:36

Love Jasper.

I actually think Benjamin sounds better than James as a middle name. The majority of under 10 boys I know have James as a middle name so I'd go with something different.

Jojay · 02/02/2017 16:41

I've got a Jasper David.

KlingybunFistelvase · 02/02/2017 17:16

I prefer Jasper Benjamin to Jasper James actually. Really nice!

Sophronia · 02/02/2017 23:33

Jasper Benjamin is nicer than Jasper James

GreatScot8 · 02/02/2017 23:41

Jasper Benjamin is bloody gorgeous.
