Theo really Freddie?

We have narrowed the choice to two names.. Freddie ( Frederick after grandad) or Theo.( could be teddy for a baby) .. we can't decide any help/advice please x

Would Theo be the given name or would you go for Theodore on the BC?

I prefer Frederick/Freddie

I like both names, marginally prefer Frederick / Freddie and it's nice to have the family connection I think

I love Theodore with NN of Teddy meaning if he doesn't like the abbreviation he can revert to his full name

I like Theodore/Theo a lot. Not a fan of Freddie at all.

I find Freddie a bit Archie/Alfie/cheeky-chappie-ish.

We wanted Theon but dh was concerned long term when ds realised he was named after a man who had his penis chopped off!

Also, Teddy is another nickname for Theodore?

theo seems to be hugely more common at the moment if that makes any difference to your decision

Both are too cutesy and nicknamey imo.

Love both of those names, they are both on my list. So I can't decide! Maybe just pick whichever flows better with your surname.
