Would Theo be the given name or would you go for Theodore on the BC?

Sophronia · 21/01/2017 12:34

I prefer Frederick/Freddie

MiniMaxi · 21/01/2017 12:37

I like both names, marginally prefer Frederick / Freddie and it's nice to have the family connection I think

girlelephant · 21/01/2017 12:37

I love Theodore with NN of Teddy meaning if he doesn't like the abbreviation he can revert to his full name

MarmiteDoesYouGood · 21/01/2017 12:55

I like Theodore/Theo a lot. Not a fan of Freddie at all.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/01/2017 13:39

Theo.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/01/2017 13:40

Probably in a minority, but I prefer Theon to Theodore

Stonewash · 21/01/2017 13:50

Theo, with Theodore as full name.

KoalaDownUnder · 21/01/2017 13:52

Theodore nn Theo.

I find Freddie a bit Archie/Alfie/cheeky-chappie-ish.

Ilovecaindingle · 21/01/2017 13:54

We wanted Theon but dh was concerned long term when ds realised he was named after a man who had his penis chopped off! Confused

mistermagpie · 21/01/2017 13:56

Theo. Full name Theodore. I can't stand all these Freddie/Alfie/Archie/Teddy names that are around just now.

GinIsIn · 21/01/2017 13:57

mistermagpie huh? Those are all names that have been around and fairly popular for about 200 years now... Confused

Also, Teddy is another nickname for Theodore?

Chewbecca · 21/01/2017 13:57

theo seems to be hugely more common at the moment if that makes any difference to your decision

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/01/2017 14:37

ILOVECAINDINGLE, What !!! 😦
Well, I learn something new everyday 😂

ClaryIsTheBest · 21/01/2017 14:42

Frederick.

Definitely Frederick. Lovely name :)!

Pipilangstrumpf · 21/01/2017 15:28

Both are too cutesy and nicknamey imo.

I prefer Frederick or Theodore.

greeeen · 21/01/2017 16:05

I like Theo/Theodore.

Joeybee · 22/01/2017 23:32

Love both of those names, they are both on my list. So I can't decide! Maybe just pick whichever flows better with your surname.
