A little, I think.

No, they just begin with the same letter and that's fine.

mistermagpie · 11/01/2017 16:46

To be siblings you mean? I wouldn't do it but I'm fussy about names 'going' together. That girl from the Saturdays has Carter and Parker which bugs me and the Rooney's have Kai and Klay which bugs me too. I need to get out more...

Are they the full names or just the nicknames? As nicknames, I think it's fine; as full names, they do feel a bit samey - a bit Bill and Ben-esque.

Fine if short for Edward and Thomas I think

pentty · 11/01/2017 19:41

No, I have a Ted, so it's not Edward. Would love a Tom (not keen on Thomas).

Not to me either and the source names are of course totally different.

Ted & Tom are far too similar imo

Theodore and Thomas would be better but even then they'd share initials which can be a pain when letters are addressed to Mr T XXX.

MiniMaxi · 11/01/2017 22:06

They're both nice names and will grow up as independent people so it won't really matter. I think it's better than e.g. Dom & Tom or Fred & Ted Grin

ClaryIsTheBest · 11/01/2017 22:25

Ted and Thomas would work.

But yes, Ted and Tom are too similar imo.

Ted and Jim?
Ted and John?
Ted and Timothy nn Tim?
