I think we have finally decided on a shortlist for our DS, due in Feb. What do you think of these? To go with our surname, which rhymes with tardy and begins with an h :-)

Sebastian
Tobias
Rowan
Elias
Finn (too short?)

Middle name yet to be decided. Any other suggestions would be great too!

Thanks

Finn

AvaBird · 06/01/2017 20:06

Tobias is gorgeous with your surname, love, love, love!
Can't really go wrong with any of them but I have a place in my heart for a Tobias H-ardy

EverySongbirdSays · 06/01/2017 20:07

Sebastian

calilark · 06/01/2017 20:08

Elias. Goes brilliantly with your surname. Tobias might end up being Toby which doesn't go so well imo

1horatio · 06/01/2017 20:09

I don't really like Finn.
The other names are really lovely. And all of them would go with your surname imo.

Deadsouls · 06/01/2017 20:09

Rowan

ToffeeForEveryone · 06/01/2017 20:09

Sebastian or Tobias.

Don't like Rowan much.

albertcampionscat · 06/01/2017 20:10

Elias!

PunkrockerGirl · 06/01/2017 20:11

Not keen on Rowan, but otherwise I love them all.

Good luck though, not long now till your precious bundle arrives Smile

Bicnod · 06/01/2017 20:11

Tobias or Sebastian

1horatio · 06/01/2017 20:12

I think I prefer Rowan. But Tobias is really nice as well.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/01/2017 20:12

I love Rowan but truly I really prefer the 'Rohan' spelling Welsh

I do think Sebastian sounds nice with your surname. I know a little Sebastian with the nickname 'Bash', which is so cute!!

mum2bejen · 06/01/2017 20:13

Sebastian is on our shortlist too! That's my favourite from your list :-)

I love Tobias from your list too.

happynewyearchum · 06/01/2017 20:14

Not Tobias because he will get called Toby and Toby 'Ardy is a bit Y heavy IMO. Finn is my fave. Rowan was a naughty boy at my school.

ExcellentWorkThereMary · 06/01/2017 20:15

How are you pronouncing Elias?

maitaimojito · 06/01/2017 20:16

I like Sebastian, Elias and Finn.

Ikeameatballs · 06/01/2017 20:17

Sebastian or Finn

OurVelocity · 06/01/2017 20:20

Thanks all! That's great :-)

We'd pronounce it Ee-ly-as I reckon

Nice list - mostly Grin

Sebastian - love.
Tobias - not a fan.
Rowan - Very cool. Personally prefer the spelling Rohan, but either way it's a cool name.
Elias - I like it a lot but only when pronounced El-ee-as, sorry.
Finn - Not too short, and I love it.

Sebastian would be my pick.

TheLivingAsheth · 06/01/2017 20:25

Sebastian is my favourite, have always liked it since reading the Sadler's Wells books.
Tobias is second favourite. Then Finn.

Pluto30 · 06/01/2017 20:26

Love Rowan.

The only issue is that a lot of people see Rowan as unisex/a girl's name now. I still love it for a boy though.

Otherwise, I like Tobias with your surname. Sebastian in third place. Smile

MollyHuaCha · 06/01/2017 20:29

Sebastian - love it
Tobias - love it
Rowan - ok
Elias - nice, but pronunciation will be different from different people Ell-ee-us / El-eye-us etc.
Finn (too short?) - yes, too short!

Mouthfulofquiz · 06/01/2017 20:30

Rowan T(H)ardy is a great name!

thedragonflyinn · 06/01/2017 20:31

Nice list, but don't like Rowan (I know a few female ones so that may be why).

I think they all go well with your surname but Sebastian is my favourite.

AlwaysTeaTime · 06/01/2017 20:31

Tobias is my favourite. Then Elias, but pronounced Ell-ee-us. Roman is a girls name here and Finn is dull. Flynn is better. Sebastian is okay
