I use Dove deodorant sometimes so it's a no from me for Dove as girl's name Smile

hoddtastic · 05/01/2017 20:21

myrtle means dove i think. Dove is also a type of E, that's what i think when i see Dove, i'd think you took lots of drugs.

They're both a bit trying to be wacky/different IMO.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 05/01/2017 20:22

Dove deodorant...

BratFarrarsPony · 05/01/2017 20:29

hoddtastic the 'love doves' did cross my mind as well, but I thought I would keep quiet about my drugginess....:D

TheCaptainsCat · 05/01/2017 20:47

They both sound a bit soapy to me.

Sophronia · 05/01/2017 21:02

Katherine Lilac

Pluto30 · 05/01/2017 21:04

Katherine Lilac.

My best friend has Dove as her middle name as it was her mother's maiden name, but I still think it's a really weird name. It's a harsh, short sounding name that just conjures up an image of an albino pigeon.

Badgoushk · 05/01/2017 21:05

They both sound like hygiene products to me. Lilac reminds me of Lilets tampons. Sorry.

KatherinaMinola · 05/01/2017 21:10

We had both on our list at one point!

Katherine Lilac is a lovely name.

Pemba · 05/01/2017 21:11

Is Dove actually a name now then? The meaning is nice, but the sound is meh and most people will think 'soap'.

So I'd say Lilac, which is OK. Knock the 'c' off the end though, and you'd have Lila - a lovely name.

Pemba · 05/01/2017 21:12

I really like your first name choice of Katherine BTW. Classic and not too common these days.

elQuintoConyo · 05/01/2017 21:13

Neither.

Linds53 · 05/01/2017 22:56

My Grandmother (born in the 1900s) was known as Dove. It was short for Davina.

busyrascal · 05/01/2017 23:21

Jemima means dove. How about that instead?

Crumbs1 · 05/01/2017 23:23

Dove is a soap. Lilac a bit better perhaps.

How did you come up with those? Dove is ridiculous.

LimpidPools · 06/01/2017 10:06

They sound like paint colours to me.

1horatio · 06/01/2017 10:38

linds

Davina nn Dove is lovely!
I wish DD had a nickname like that. DH and his family call her Chippy/Chippie and Chip. :0

Joeybee · 23/01/2017 09:01

Lilac...Dove reminds me of the soap!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/01/2017 10:31

Katherine Lilac is very unusual and pretty.

strawberrypenguin · 23/01/2017 10:36

Katherine Lilac is nicer imo

StaceyPregnant · 23/01/2017 20:15

Dove reminds me of soap to be honest with you Confused. Lilac is nice, though, but together is too soapy for me!

buttercup54321 · 23/01/2017 23:37

Lilac or Lilah

Waterfeature · 23/01/2017 23:46

Both awful, sorry.
