Oh-Lis-sia

Are you sure you don't mean Oliwia? The polish version of Olivia?

LoftDweller · 02/01/2017 17:41
Confused

No idea op!

Soubriquet · 02/01/2017 17:41

No...liv-cia not lissia

But it doesn't flow very well

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 02/01/2017 17:43

Is that someone's name or a name you are considering?

Is it English? (not sure how to blend the middle "wc" bit?

I genuinely have no idea-I keep trying to break it down

Oll-aa-weee-see-a?

Oll-ee-wa-see-a?

Oll-ee-whic-ee-a?

Am intrigued....

Louis2016 · 02/01/2017 17:44

No, definitely Oliwcia!

Ow-Lou-Sia

MikeUniformMike · 02/01/2017 17:46

Ol -iv-cha
(the ch as in chat)

DD went to school with an "Oh Lee sia" which is a possibity. Her name wasn't spelt like that though!

ScrambledSmegs · 02/01/2017 17:50

Oh-leev-cha?

galaxygirl45 · 02/01/2017 17:52

I'd say Olif-cha or Oliv-cha. Ci is usually "ch" and w sounds like "v" or "f" if it's Polish or Czech.

SingaSong12 · 02/01/2017 17:52

If I am familiar enough I'd ask without even trying. In something more formal I might say is that Ms Surname? Can I just check your first name?

BroomstickOfLove · 02/01/2017 17:56

I would say it almost like Olivia, but not quite. Olivzha is probably the closest way I can write it.

Isitjustmeorisiteveryoneelse · 02/01/2017 18:02

Anything Eastern European with a W in I would presume to be pronounced as a ZHA and C as SH. So Oli-zhi-sha. Whose name is it? Have you asked them?

Mozartinmyfanjo · 02/01/2017 18:04

It pronounces Oliv-cha (tongue touching roof of your mouth when you say ch) as mentioned above. It is Polish 'pet' name for Olivia not an actual name, so you can actually use Olivia.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/01/2017 20:30

Olee-Wic-ier. I doubt its that though.
