Middle name for Beatrice

Due DD2 v soon and trying to finalise a name decision as last time I was hopeless at making decisions the other side!

We have a Harriet ( Hattie) Rose.

This was our shortlist for number 2;

Beatrice
Juliet
Pippa
Alice
Grace
Kate
Jessica

Pretty sure Beatrice is the front runner but what for middle name? Do we use one of the others in the list? Elizabeth is a family name we could use but not essential. I think Beatrice Elizabeth is a bit bulky though..

DD1 has a second middle name, a family one so slightly feel should give this baby two also but perhaps not..

Our surname is two syllables...

Opinions gratefully received!

Beatrice Martha

How bizarre cakes and I have both chosen Martha which isn't a popular name atm.

BikeRunSki · 01/01/2017 08:25

I thought of Elizabeth straight away too, but if you feel it's too long, then Eliza?

inneedofaliein · 01/01/2017 12:36

Thanks all.. Some fab suggestions. I really like Martha actually and was on my original list for first name although vetoed by DH. Wonder if I could sneak it in as a middle name Smile

Beatrice Pippa is unique and adorable.

Holding · 01/01/2017 13:25

Noooo to Martha - BM is almost as bad as BJ!

Swearwolf · 01/01/2017 13:36

Why is BM bad? I get BJ, of course, but BM doesn't mean anything to me.

TheCakes · 01/01/2017 14:36

No, I don't get the BM thing either?

Hope you can sneak it in OP. I think it's a lovely name and goes beautifully with Beatrice. You have similar taste in names to me.

Smilelikeyoufeelit · 01/01/2017 14:42

Beatrice May. I absolutely love the name Beatrice (was my Gran's) and always wanted to use it. Only had sons though.

inneedofaliein · 01/01/2017 16:55

Oh I am puzzled too at why BM bad?

Thanks for the positive feedback on Beatrice it's lovely to hear..

I have a Beatrice Willa followed by one syllable surname.

Adore Joy - but Beatrice means 'bringer of joy' so may be a bit odd to have both if that sort of thing matters to you?

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 01/01/2017 21:16

Beatrice Gloria
Beatrice Louise
Beatrice Eleanor
Beatrice May
Beatrice Alice
Beatrice Catherine
Beatrice Edith
Beatrice Mary
Beatrice Lydia

We have a Beatrice too (5 days old) so was looking at this for inspiration for the middle name as we can't decide!

We're thinking either:

Rose
Pearl
Ivy
Violet

I liked grace too but think it's too many ce's.

lorelairoryemily · 01/01/2017 22:30

Beatrice may/ann/Marie

inneedofaliein · 02/01/2017 09:40

Aw Tinytickler congratulations on your brand new Beatrice..

Thanks Bunty I had no idea about the meaning but that is lovely.. ( goes off to Google meaning of Harriet!)
