DH half Italian. DS due in a few short weeks, can't agree on a name but we jointly quite like:

Emilio (shortened to Emmy)
Angelo
Mauricio
Jacques (soft J)
Otto
Hunter
Ludovico (shortened to Ludo)
Yves (pronounced Eve)

There are more we've thrown around & DH mainly rejected will come back when I think of them.

Yes yes I know there's a mix of Italian / French / Other origins - we're not fussed about heritage, just having a unique name that's not too out there. Any thoughts or other suggestions welcome…

Ludo is so cool. I vote Ludo.

I do like Emilio but Emmy would put me off.

Thank you everyone! Ludo, Emilio & possibly Otto are the front runners at the moment, along with another DH has thrown into the mix…Valentino.

Any thoughts?

Love Valentino (and know a really cool one age 7!) I know you're going Italian but I thought of Santiago when I saw your list- gorgeous name.

Emilio would be Lio maybe for short or Milo? Agree not Emmy

Ludo to me is the game

The name search for soon to be born DS is still ongoing Smile anyone any thoughts on Jean-Luca (prefer it to the traditional spelling of Gianluca)
