Boys names like Timothy?!

We're ttc number 2, yaaaay :)

Already thinking of names to go with Faye, but can't think of many I like!

I think I'm drawn to names that are a bit sweet and not to masculine which IMHO are names like Timothy, Alfie and Theodore. Unfortunately DP doesn't like Timothy or Theodore, and I don't like Alfie much. Does anyone have any suggestions? Halo

I think I have hit the spot for both of us with Felix (plus love Felix & Faye), but I would love some backups or middle name suggestions if anyone has any? Thanks so much _

Evie we seem to have very similar taste! DS2 is due shortly and he's most likely going to be Felix Caspar Grin DS1 is Theodore. Other names we've considered are Tobias, Alfred, Arthur, Hugo, Monty, Otto and Rufus.

EvieSparkles0x · 23/12/2016 14:28

Awww Cyril what lovely names! Xmas Grin I really love Theodore but unfortunately DP is not swayed by it :( And congratulations on your pregnancy, hoping it won't be long before DD has little brother or sister on the way Halo

I think Timothy is really awful. It sounds so wet and spineless.

EvieSparkles0x · 23/12/2016 15:07

vintagechick I looooooove Arlo and Hugo, thank you!

MagicChicken wet and spineless - gross haha. I have gone off it a bit but mainly because I don't like Timmy much and it would inevitably be shortened. Plus DP doesn't like it either

Weirdly I don't object all that much to Tim. It's a bit more manly. I don't love it but I don't hate it. But Timmy and Timothy do conjure up images of someone rather wet and spineless, sorry. Confused

EvieSparkles0x · 23/12/2016 16:07

Yeah I think Felix is a good balance betwwen masculine and cute. I also like Kit but haven't mentioned that one tp DP yet. Is it just a bit too far?

Felix Casper is great.

Or just Casper.

Also kit which is short for Christopher

Hugo and Huw are great

Nataleejah · 24/12/2016 08:02

Adrian, Ronald, Graham

EvieSparkles0x · 24/12/2016 08:37

Doosy I didn't know Kit was short for Christopher, that's amazing :) That will hopefully make it a much more appealing for DP

I quite like Lorne for a boy but I'd worry people would hear Lauren instead and set the poor little blighter up for a lifetime of teasing.

Rinmybell · 15/01/2017 18:48

Well my dad has a brother Timothy (Tim) and I think his (many) siblings might fall into the not too masculine category?
Benjamin (Ben)
Marcus (Marky)
Wilfred (Wilf)
Matthew (Matty)
Rommel (Rom - not sure about that one!)
Edward (Ted)

There is also a Paul and a Peter. Didn't think they'd be of much use however!
