William or Samuel

Lots of the boys names we liked are out (Henry, Oliver, Elliot...) so our front runners are now William and Samuel.

I keep veering between the two. Which is nicest?

Thanks

Samuel. Sam.

I love Samuel/Sam.

I don't like the 'yool' sound in Samuel.

DP has now declared he prefers William so I think that's what our boys name is going to be - maybe a Samuel next time if we end up with two DSs!

We are thinking of William Oliver Joseph

William is great.

I don't like the 'yul' sound either, in either Samuel or Daniel.

We have both. I think William has a few more abbreviations (Will/Bill/Billy/Liam) etc which I thought was an advantage. Others would probably hate that though.
Both are lovely. Joseph was also on my short list.

Samuel is the dullest name I've ever heard. It's so dull it makes me cringe.

William is nice though.

William for me
