Daniel

Ds1 is a Danny but he can choose when he's older to he Daniel/Danny/Dan

Ds2 is Alexander for same reason multiple options for him when older

Love them both - Joseph has the slight edge for me though. They go brilliantly together, so whichever one you pick you can save the other in case you have another DS in the future.

I have a Daniel but I forget that as he's been Danny since he was a toddler and so we all see him as that. He doesn't even know how to spell Daniel Grin

Joseph is a beautiful name. Daniel is a bit 1980's and clunky.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 10/12/2016 08:29

I prefer Joseph

Both good names - like figgy I really like names that have a range of options for shortening /nicknames, and both work well on that basis.

However I think Daniel/Danny/Dan edges it over Joseph/Joey/Joe. Danny is more usable than Joey I think - I know serious adults who go by Danny, less so Joey. Joe is also associated with 'average Joe', 'ordinary Joe'.
