Not even conceived....dreaming of names.

Has anybody else experienced this? We don't have children yet and are in cycle 1 of TTC and I am already caught up in the fantasy of what our children will be called.

Please tell me I am not alone in this lunacy! Not discussed with DH properly yet other than throw away comments as he is still very much caught up in the practical details and the here and now.

With that being said ... I'm dreaming of a Genevieve, maybe a Seraphina, possibly a Benjamin or a Gabriel.

What were your 'dream' names and did you end up using them?

I totally get this. I have a huge phobia of anything medical. For me I actually needed a name, it made me feel like I knew who I was putting myself through this for.

I had a name for a DD picked out since I was 10. It was my great Nan's name and totally been in love with it ever since then. First DC was a boy and I really struggled day to day until we had a name for him. Second DC was DD and she indeed has my great Nan's name.

We are hoping to have DC3, but cannot come up with a name yet, spend far too much time thinking about names.

My DH had a spreadsheet of baby names he liked from before we even met. I didn't give it much thought until I was pregnant. We didn't decide on our name until about 30 weeks and it wasn't from the spreadsheet:)

Me! We had picked a boys and girls name before we got pregnant with our first. When I got pregnant we ended up choosing totally different names and when I was pregnant a second time we chose totally different ones again.

We're TTC and have chosen names already Smile

We picked out names shortly after we got married. This was over 3 years before we started trying for a baby, so if you're weird then we are too!ShockConfused

We originally liked Katie for a DD, but went off this name by the time I got pregnant. Our next choice of name sounded sing-songy with our future potential son's name. There was no guarantee we'd ever have a boy, but as our boy's name was set in stone, we felt we couldn't choose
our top girl's name. Won't give out our top choices because our son has our no.1 choice.

The other options we had for our future unborn children were:
Hannah, Jessica (Jessie), Emily, Alexandra (Lexi), Lorna
Christopher (Kit), Joshua (Josh) Jacob (Jake), Thomas (Tom)
