Is it completely a girls name now? Or can I get away with it?

I really don't think you can use that for a boy. It's too feminine.

WellErrr · 06/12/2016 17:17

Love it!

PebbleInTheMoonlight · 06/12/2016 17:22

I'm sure one of the Apprentice candidates is a male Courtney (although concede that may put you off)

SausageSoda · 06/12/2016 17:23

I don't like the name for either a boy or girl. I'd associate it as a girls name but nothing to stop you calling a boy it if that's what you really want.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 06/12/2016 17:37

It's beyond dreadful and tacky for girl and even worse for a boy.

Courtney Lawes - England rugby player. Very masculine Grin

Don't love it as a boys name I'm afraid (or as a girl to be honest!)

Reality16 · 06/12/2016 20:12

I think it has become far too popular in chav land as a girls name to ever be a respectable boys name now

Sophronia · 06/12/2016 21:16

I prefer it on a boy

sprinklesofweirdness · 06/12/2016 21:30

Work in a primary school, have a lovely boy in my class called Courtney (one of my favesWink) SmileSmile

Rinmybell · 11/12/2016 19:52

Love it. I love Ashley for a boy too but hate Courtney and Ashley for girls.

Soubriquet · 11/12/2016 19:54

Awful for a boy.

No.

People will forever think you secretly wanted a girl

AutumnalLeaves38 · 11/12/2016 22:56

Well, it worked out just perfectly for ...

CalmTheFarm · 12/12/2016 00:08

I know a boy Courtland, if thats any use.

I'm not a fan of Courtney for either sex now, it's a name of it's time (the 90s).

I use to know a couple of boy Courtneys years ago (when the name was popular) but none these days.
