We like traditional names, which don't have multiple spellings and have a current shortlist of 3:

Charlotte...love this as a classic name and also like the nn Lottie..but worry might be too popular and would end up with lots in same class/groups etc.

Rose...again love as classic name...but worry lots of Rosie's/ rosa's and other names shortened to Rose

Annie...love how this names isn't very popular (outside top 100) but was really common in past (no 3 in 1904). Worry maybe too nicknamey but not personally so keen on longer versions of the name.

Middle name chosen as Victoria ( only like long version of this name hence why middle name)

Are there multiples of these names in groups you attend? Any thoughts?

I really like Rose and Annie. Not so keen on. Charlotte.

Bellaposy · 04/12/2016 22:23

I have a six month old and haven't come across any of the above. Lots of Amelias and Lucys in my baby groups (North West). I do know some slightly older Charlotte's but no Annies or Victorias. Rose is a very common middle name atm (2/3 baby girl friends have it).

All lovely classic names OP. Also heard of a baby Alice recently which I thought was beautiful and timeless.

BobbieDog · 04/12/2016 22:25

If dc2 is a girl she's going to be named Rosanna

Lifeisshort123 · 04/12/2016 22:26

I like the name Charlotte.

newroundhere · 04/12/2016 22:28

I know a 4 month old Rose and a 2 year old Annie but no Charlottes.

I quite like all of them but I think Rose or Charlotte would go better with Victoria than Annie.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 04/12/2016 22:29

Another vote for Annie!

Knittedfrog · 04/12/2016 22:31

Annie is my pick of your choices.

Thetruthfairy · 04/12/2016 22:47

Love them all. Have you thought about using the name Anna with Annie as her 'less formal' name? Annie is lovely though, I wouldn't have any worries about using it x

usernamewastooobv · 04/12/2016 22:51

How about Annabel - shortened to Annie. It goes well with Victoria and is not very common. A few different spellings for it though.

BikeRunSki · 04/12/2016 22:52

Could you use a more formal name which abbreviates to Annie - Anne , Anna, Annabel. Stephanie, Anghard, Araminta, Anita...

Wishfulmakeupping · 04/12/2016 22:59

Charlotte Victoria is a beautiful name op

HearTheThunderRoar · 04/12/2016 23:00

Annie is my favourite, I also know an 18yo Annie.

I'm really not keen on Rose, seems a bit bland. Although I do like Rosanna.

Charlotte's ok, I'm long past the baby groups stage, however I know heaps around my DD's age (she's 17).

DrinkingCocktailsInTheSunshine · 04/12/2016 23:03

I know four girls who are under 2 called Charlotte (and two are no Lottie). Lovely name, but it is popular.

SausageSoda · 04/12/2016 23:04

Annie is my favourite and much less widely used than Charlotte or Rose IMO. Rose would be my second choice from your list.

EverySongbirdSays · 04/12/2016 23:18

So

Annie Victoria
Rose Victoria
or
Charlotte Victoria

I am most drawn to Rose Victoria out of those three

I know a couple of Charlottes under 5, one Annie (3) and one Rose (8)

JessieDoops · 04/12/2016 23:25

I work in a large childcare facility (ages 0-16) there are no children there with any of your names. I LOVE Charlotte

pieceofpurplesky · 04/12/2016 23:26

Rosalie Victoria
I like Rosalie and Annie

MollyHuaCha · 04/12/2016 23:36

Love them all Smile

user1477282676 · 04/12/2016 23:37

I have a Rose. Some of her friends do call her Rosie which annoyed me when she was small but I've got over it Grin

AnnieAnoniMouse · 04/12/2016 23:39

I might be slightly biased 😁

AnnieAnoniMouse · 04/12/2016 23:41

I've just read the other posts, I'm Xmas Blush

Shame Annie isn't my real name Xmas Grin

Adeline is often shortened to Annie (but not my name even ther!)

DearMrDilkington · 04/12/2016 23:46

I love Charlotte. It's so under used for such a pretty and 'normal' name.

SoOverPeppa123 · 04/12/2016 23:47

I like charlotte. Lottie is a gorgeous nickname.
I think Rose is pretty as well.
Annie is sweet but I can't help of think of the musical, not that that's a negative necessarily.

Chemistria · 04/12/2016 23:48

I like Annie best

Then Charlotte

Pluto30 · 05/12/2016 00:05

Charlotte Victoria is a bit too royal, IMO.

Rose Victoria is quite nice.

But I like Annie the most. Annie Victoria. Gorgeous. Annie is such a sweet name. I've only ever known two: one who's in her 60s now, and one who's in her 20s. Love it.
