Joshua is nicer than Seth but if it has to be Josh only, then I choose Seth.

I agree with the poster above. Josh isn't as nice as Seth. Joshua is a really great name. He would have a lifetime of explaining that he's 'just Josh'

I prefer Joshua with the nn Josh.

But since that isn't an option, Seth wins by default. But I don't like Seth at all.

I have a Josh (NOT JOSHUA) in my class and I always accidentally call him Joshua, the poor thing! why are you not keen on Joshua?

I used to work with a Josh, and it was years before I found out his full was Jonathan.

If you call him Josh, be prepared for a lifetime of him being called Joshua by various people.

Thinking as to when he is an adult, I prefer Seth. I find Josh to be a child's name...
