DH and I are TTC DC2 (not right now - I'm not that good A multitasker ).

Just day(evening?)dreaming and thinking of potential names for the hypothetical DC2. Any ideas?

Girl: Hannah, Kate, Beth, Zara

Boy: Mark, Jack, Luke, Max

Emma is a lovely name... what about Amy or Anna? for a boy, maybe James or Jack...

My best friend's name is Emma, and her brothers are Thomas and James.

The Emma I know has a sister called Megan.

Not Anna as sounds so similar to Emma. My first thought was James.

I think my favourites of the suggestions are Rachel or Reuben.

Weirdly, I've gone off James a bit, though we would have called dd James, had she been a boy.

What do people think of Margaret (Maggie)? Does it go with Emma or not really?

I like that Emma has a literary connection as well, which is partly why we chose it. Would it be weird to choose another literary name to go with it?

not a fan of Margaret but Rachel is lovely ! I like Anastasia as well... i've spent too much time thinking about this for someone who is not having any more children.

Jane was also on our list with DD. Not sure why it was vetoed, but it was.

I knew twins called Emma and Kate.

I also knew another little Emma who had sisters called Kate and Annabel. So Emma definitely comes with a Kate!

For boys I think James or Harry goes nicely with Emma. Has to be a classic name, just like Emma.
