Hiya, I'm currently overdue (and a bit fed up) but dh and I still can't pick a name for baby. We don't know the sex so need one for each and have a few ideas but nothing jumps out as the one

We tend to like long names that will last when they are older (dh calls them posh but it's not quite how I'd term them) but that can be nn to cutsie name when little

Current favourite girl name is probably Emilia so nn Millie but I'm worried it's sounds the same as Amelia so there will be loads of them. Boys names I struggle with, love Arthur but not the nn. Any suggestions really welcome Smile

We wanted Juliet for ds if he was a dd and would have used the nn Jools

Also wanted Olive nn Liv

SilverNightFairy · 27/11/2016 14:57

We have an Alexandra, sometimes called Zandra. She prefers Spike.

Hobbitch · 27/11/2016 15:01

My son would have been Susanna, nn Susie, if he'd been a girl.

In France the nn for Juliet is Juju which I quite like.

If you like Juliette, you could have the nn Etty.

I know a Naomi who often uses the nn Mimi, which to start with I wasn't keen on, but now I rather like!

For a boy

Thanks again people, I know I haven't acknowledged all the replies but I've read them all and appreciate each one. I have added some names to my list now and feel a bit better about some already on there that were mentioned too. I also like the nn Ettie and Joules for Juliette so that has stayed on the list, guess I'll have to see what he or she looks like when they come now!

Thanks Autum for the well wishes too, I'm on a deadline for the middle of next week now but desperately want a natural birth so need baby to come before then or it's a third section for me! Never have I wanted to wake up in pain so much in my life lol

Thanks again xx
