Louisa - nice, possibly a bit 80s
Esther - love, mainly because of the courageous connotations
Miriam - nice
Aphra - never heard before! Not keen & neither is my autocorrect!
Caroline - love this, elegant, beautiful,
Jemima - still makes me think of that BBC Playschool song, "Come, Jemima, let's go shopping", but it's elegant and I like the connotations of beauty.
Dinah - not so keen, but possibly because of the sad bible story.
Rosamund - beautiful, elegant, love this
Marina - not so keen, but partly because it makes me think of the famous Marina. I can see the appeal though, elegant and unusual.
Jennifer - it never used to be a favourite name, except that every Jennifer I've ever met has been totally lovely, as well as intelligent, kind, pretty...!
Kezia/Keziah - prefer with an H. This has also grown on me, partly due to the connotations of beauty.
Susanna/Susannah - slightly 80s, but very pretty. Prefer with an H
Agnes - elegant and still fairly unusual.
Ramona - sorry, really don't like. I have to admit, possibly partly out of snobbery. I can see why it's beautiful, but I guess it's just associations.
Christina - was never a favourite, but it's grown on me after meeting a few lovely Christinas!
Quite a few of those names are ones which would immediately make me think there's a good chance the child has Christian parents. Not sure if that would make a difference either way to you ...
