It's my younger brother's name. He's spent 29 years with the name and it hasn't done him any harm!

I like it. There was a show a couple of years ago called Starcrossed and the main character was Emery. I didn't think of an emery board (I just call them nail files) or Dick Emery (never heard of him).

I think it's awful, but each to their own.
I love how on these threads when posters say they're not keen on the op's suggestion, but helpfully suggest insert equally hideous name as an alternative

Surly (sic) only a complete dick would suggest 'helpful' alternatives to some of the horrors that posters try and pass off as 'names' on here.
The sensible answer, instead of trying to rearrange the letters to form another name, is no, that's not a name, don't be fucking ridiculous.
